Kyoto Tower is truly a magnificent sight to behold. Very unfortunate that I didn't get to visit the tower, but having the chance to view up close was a spectacle. The Illumination at night really enhanced the beauty of the tower and the night landscape.
I have been here multiple times and always find the view absolutely amazing. Although there is a lot of controversy of the construction of the tower and ruining the atmosphere of Kyoto, I feel it ads a lot of value to the city as being the tallest building. I hope Kyoto continues its tradition of restricting tall buildings and keeping the real "Japan" feel to the streets.
A must visit!
It's a nice view. You can get a panoramic view of Kyoto city. I think it's a good idea to check the location here before going for a walk in Kyoto.
Not super high, but high enough for a good view. They have some great interactive maps, and free telescopes and binoculars. Note that it was very cold there.
The best time to visit this place is right before sunset. The perfect place in Kyoto to view sunset and the mesmerizing night view of the city.
