My stay at Miyako Hotel Kyoto Hachijo was pretty good. The hotel was just a few minutes walk from the station. Price is reasonable, I would say affordable. I loved the Shampoo, Conditioner and Body Soap there. You can also get free drinking water, green tea and coffee at the room itself.
Surprisingly, they only check your temperature at the reception desk during check-in at the hotel. I would highly recommend the hotel management to check the temperature of customers every time they come and get out of the hotel so that it would be a lot safer during this pandemic. Overall, it's great place to spend your night at Kyoto.
Location was great as it is so near the Kyoto Station. Initially our room was located in their main building (it was warm and seems no air-condition for cold air) so we requested for a change. The service of hotel is good. After we called to complain of feeling hot in the room, they sent a staff to check and later upon our request, gave us another room in the new wing (much better and slightly bigger room). Staff even ensure the ac is working also. Overall experience not too bad but if no hassle of having to change room will be better ☺️

The room was not big but enough space for two with cozy sofa. The pillow was hard though I slept well. All the staff were polite in the lobby and the restaurant. Specious lobby area. Good deal for a night. I will definitely come back when I stay in Kyoto.
Was a decent stay with ample about of space for 2 luggage bags. Staff were friendly and it was in a great location for its price. The only was thing is that the pillows weren’t as soft. Other than that great hotel would recommend if staying in Kyoto.
Western style rooms. Not too small. Clean and comfortable. Good place to stay. Breakfast is an extra charge. Convenient location to train station and shops
