I’d like to share my experience for holding an event at Colony@Eco City KL.
We held a two-day event from 27th to 28th July, and the environment there was classy and comfortable which I was satisfied with. However, I’d like to share about how bad their service was and how stressful we were. In addition, I’d like to suggest that the weak connection at the basement and the lobby should be improved. One of the reasons causing the event to be delayed was because many participants couldn’t find the place and they weren’t able to reach us due to the weak connection.
On the first event day, the event supposed to be ended by 5pm, but no one can actually predict when the event will be finished. As the person in charge for the event place, they should’ve known that event is always unpredictable where there could be many problems and we can never control the time. When the time was up, the person in charge kept stressing me out by rushing us to wrap up the event. For the event, the mentor was from Korea and parts of the participant were foreigner, everyone was feeling stress too. And I, as the event organizer, I felt upset and extremely disappointed that I paid for the event place, but I received such bad service instead. The person in charge kept rushing us every half hour, while the cleaner came forward and stared at us, especially our mentor. Their manners were so bad and this was so embarrassing. They should’ve cleaned the place by themselves as we’ve already paid for that, but end up, our staff took the broom and cleaned the floor by her own instead. Although the cleaner and person in charge saw the situation, they never came forward to stop it and just let our staff to do the cleaning.
On the second day, different person in charge was being assigned to assist us, and his name is Lucas Kong. I’d like to praise him as he was a very helpful person and we were sincerely appreciated that. The flow on the second day was very smooth without any serious problem, and we wrapped up the event comfortably. Although we wrapped up the event very late, he never rushed and stressed us out and he seriously helped us a lot. His professionalism should be respected.
This was our fourth time for holding events, our previous experiences were all good, this is the first time that I feel the urge to write a review because I’d like to let them know we paid for good service, we do not deserve being treated in this way, and we even paid for overtime. Hope their service will be improved and employees will be well trained.
Unique workspace with lots of natural light and well thought-out design that helps with productivity. In-house cafe with good coffee, nap room, kids play room, plus rooftop garden for some fresh air makes it a great place to work!
