Been here a few times now so I can confidently say that the staff friendliness and service level is world class.
The rooms are good but the furniture are starting to feel dated and worn.
The beds and pillows are very comfortable.
Breakfast buffet is superb.
The restaurants are only there for the really lazy or super wealthy. I bet the food is good tho.
Don't be afraid to get some sand inside your shoes. I suggest eating lunch and dinner down on the beach. I know I did.
I have been to the Movenpick a few times now but Swiss-mass was the most disappointing so far. Typically we go to the Hard Rock for Christmas but that was not an option this year (2020).
As it was Christmas there was a bouncy castle and plenty of activities for younger children which would be fine we're it not for the live band. The live band were doing songs in English (with a Thai accent) and one notable cover was Radiohead's Creep. The lead singer had managed to mispronounce plenty of the words but the one he did not mispronounce was the explicit one. He got that one every time. This was followed up by Baby Shark. This did not really create the Christmas Ambience.
Added to this was the fact that I had been overcharged when I booked (probably partly my fault) which proved impossible to resolve despite 3 attempts so I gave up (it wasn't a lot but the principle remains).
To give them their due, the staff did work hard to accommodate us when we asked not to be seated next to a speaker and I did bring a last minute extra person whose parents were unable to take anywhere on Christmas (I called ahead to arrange).
The food itself was mostly good, although, if you have been to brunch, it was not on that level, which was disappointing.
If you can put up with the above problems the location is great and if you're not driving the drinks options look reasonable too. If you're expecting a Christmas atmosphere and the selection of food seen at brunch you will be disappointed.
No doubt is one of the best hotel in Pattaya, nice room with super friendly and professional staffs, nice big pool and private beach u can’t ask for more!!

Loved the friendly attentive service, the great view from the big balcony and was not disappointed with the quality of the breakfast. So many hotels really make budget choices here but there was some nice tasty cheeses and cold cuts that really stood out. The pool area has a lot to offer for kids. The location right on the clean and relatively quiet beach makes it a perfect place for young families or people seeking something outside of the busy pattaya strip. I’d defiantly considered staying at Mövenpick again if I would travel in the region.
