We encountered a bit of issue with our room for late checking in but Tyron at the reception was so helpful. For such an affordable accommodation, his customer service is above and beyond our expectations. Thank you so much for maintaining such a positive attitude during busy time in tough COVID-19 environment.
The good
It is basic but affordable, clean and comfortable. You don't need much if you are out skiing each day. Staff are nice. It is a short drive into town/ ski tube, the heaters work well and the rooms are a good size.
The bad
We had the 1 bedroom room and the walls are paper thin (there are actually gaps where you can see the light coming in from next door) so you can hear your neighbours when they talk, their TV etc even if they are being perfectly respectful.
The cooking facilities in the room didn't work so well it took us almost an hour to brown mince. Planning to cook every night would have been a struggle.
We would stay again!
Good value for price. We paid hostel price for a very big room (motel room). You can drive in front of the door so it's very convenient for unloading luggage. The floor is a bit squeaky so you can hear your neighbor walking, jumping, or running, but the reception will help if next door is too noisy past 10pm. Old style tap but it's clean generally.
Massive complex with reasonably priced budget accommodation. A shame the catering facilities are all but closed during Covid 19, but I can imagine it is a financial decision. Having shared outdoor BBQ areas would help families trying tho keep costs down. Would also be great for large groups in summer.
location is decent, not too far from town. The room is spacious enough for 6 not bad for price. School camp style.
