Nice zoo for walk especially with kids. Not very big, but big enough. Couple of playgrounds for kids, so it might take the whole day to go around with a kid. I recommend this very much.
This is one absolute favourite zoos in the world. The themed areas are somewhat weird but make your experience educational and fun. Food is slightly overpriced but good. Feeding times are always complete with a little show and plenty of new information about the animals and their habitats. So book a ticket in advance to avoid the queues.
Well organised for the visitors, but most of the animals live in enclosures that are WAY TOO SMALL. In a place like Hannover, you'd expect a more "humane" treatment.
I was today in zoo with my daughter. I am still amazed how polite and helpful, and friendly is the stuff there in general. The most impressive was the attitude of one of the ladies working in the service center. She was sitting in the middle counter, unfortunately I didn't notice her name. Anyway,I would love to say big, big thank youuuuu to her.
The zoo itself is organised in an awesome way-very entertaining, very clean and the animals look happy there. The visitors were polite people as well.
My daughter and I had much fun there.
I recommend the place absolutely.

Awesome Zoo with lots to see and experience. Entry fee is quiet a lot of money, but you get to spend the whole day seeing animals, learning about their environment and the country they live in. They have a lot of show feedings and some animal shows. A bout road included in the entry fee. Petting zoo. Lots of opportunities to eat. Many small things for kids to do and the highlight being a giant playground close to the exit.
Parking is there, put the ticket in the machine before you go in, save 1€! Pay 5€ for the whole day.
Would have liked more shade. And because of Covid, no water play areas for the kids.
