My second time coming and by far the best place to stay in the Galveston. The hotel was super clean and everyone was so kind and welcoming. Beds are very comfortable and the rooms are big. I highly recommend this Hotel. Great walking distance to everything on the Strand. I will be back. We had a wonderful weekend!
Lovely historic hotel in perfect downtown location. Staff always very courteous and friendly. The hotel needs upgrades. Most hotels of this quality have small refrigerators often stocked with free snacks and non-alcoholic drinks and the coffee makers are new models with excellent products. Our favorite hotels also have lighted magnifying vanity mirrors. The beds are comfortable but let’s face it, the construction is undesirable because the platform projects out causing bruised shins or trips. Just not safe.
The lobby and bar are excellent as well as rooftop bar (which needs fans in the summer and more more fireplaces and heaters in winter). Sorry to list many problems but we would like to see the Tremont upgrade for future visits.
One last suggestion is to place a ramp or reconfigure the stairs of the hotel's main entrance. That would eliminate the need to haul luggage up to the main floor and help people with injuries as well as seniors and parents with strollers.
My stay here will definitely not my last. The suite room exceeded my expectations. I want my future house designed like this one. But seriously, this is the kind of room that will make you feel totally relaxed. So clean, organized, well kept, spacious.... and the price? They're great!
Suite was nice. A little cool in the living room but had lots of room. Majority of staff were very helpful, polite, nice and went out of there way to accommodate anything we needed. We had trouble with one of the door locks but should be fixed soon. Nice historical hotel. Will, definitely be back.
This hotel blew away my expectations. Came to Galveston for a last minute weekend getaway and The Tremont House was the highlight!
Spacious rooms with beautiful finishes. Every staff member was super friendly. Drinks at the bar were creative and delicious. And just steps away from the Historic Downtown Strand.
We will definitely be back!
