Reviews from visitors:
I held an event here and this place is awesome. It's such a great shared workplace. They have small private offices, large classroom style rooms, and a HUGE area where they host events. This is a good place to go if you need an office but don't want the overhead. They offer coffee and small refreshments also. Love them and will definitely use them again.
Beautiful, beautiful new space but like their space Austin, not very diverse. The new operations person is rude and seems stressed which affects the morale (we miss Kevin). The only two diverse hires on staff are interns (who are probably the most approachable of them all but it's clear the staff have them on a tight leash). It's just an odd odd culture here.
Our organization used the space for a meeting and it was a great space! At least 100 were present. I also loved the amenities offered in the surrounding retail / office building. The lobby is open to the public to grab a coffee and relax/ study or chat with friends. It’s an upgrade from your usual Starbucks.
Capital Factory continues to make a lasting impression on me and the people that visit. Simply having a place in Dallas that houses high caliber, institutional backed startups/founders is a big step forward for the DFW community. Regardless of who you are or what you do, there are dozens of reasons to visit Capital Factory, and most likely you will uncover new opportunities and leave inspired. I highly recommend finding the right opportunity to visit and it may just change your life like it did mine and many others.
The positives are: great venue, great events, and cross-Texas access.
The primary negative is that there are well-known "fakers" that have infiltrated the mentor and speaker networks. People that claim to have experience, successes, and credentials. The same people that you see at other startup events, and you know they are lying. People claiming large exits, important government positions, CEOs of successful companies, and so on.
Spend more time making sure these people are who and what they claim before endorsing and entrusting them. For example, you should look at GovCity, McNutt Silicon Valley Growth Syndicate, J Vittorrio Law Firm, Neighborhood Goods, Q 51, Imprint, T Wildcatters, Sumo Ventures, GlassHeel, and DSV. Not at all what they claim to be.
