Really nice older well kept hotel. Has a beautiful pool area and waterfall in the lobby area. They offer a complete hot breakfast including eggs, bacon, potatoes, pancakes, cereal, bagels, croissant, fruit, etc. The rooms have a bedroom with separate living room, pull out sofa, mini fridge, desk and TV. The rooms are sanitized, mandatory masks and social distancing. Beach is 8min away, a lot of restaurants & stores walking distance.
things I didn't like...I was able to check in one of my rooms early at 3- great, friendly concierge. We had another room I went twice to check and wasn't ready until 6pm. The lady was rude, short, she didn't apologize. She went to the back room to get something and didn't even say excuse me or I'll be right back. There were other upset people after 930pm that still didn't have their rooms ready, crazy. Our room needed more detailed cleaning, we found nail clipping in the bathroom and hair. There were trash bags piled in the corner in the hallways. While the breakfast was great the last day we went later and they had run out of some of the food not to mention the long lines to get breakfast. I'm sure all of these things are pandemic issues but still need to be addressed.
Was there all week for a work conference. The hotel is beautiful inside with running streams and bridges to cross over. There's plenty of colorful trees! It was a fun atmosphere to have when not in the conference room!
But don't bother ordering any food. I got a $17.00 Cheeseburger and it was cold and undercooked. My co-workers got salads and other sandwiches. Seemed everyone had the same opinion. Horrible.
But the hotel is very nice and located right by plenty of restaurants and bars. Plus it's like 7 minutes from Ft Lauderdale Beach.

We are normally fans of Embassy Suites. I upgraded our room to a premium suite specifically because we were getting in late and the advertised web page says that there are snacks and non alcoholics drinks stocked daily in our room. I thought my kids would be happy to have a quick snack after a long drive. Anyway, we arrived at our “premium suite” and there were no snacks no drinks. Save your money, the premium suite is like all others except theirs a tiny balcony, which we will not use. The room is dated with uncomfortable beds. I was headed to a conference early Saturday morning and wanted to grab a cup of coffee at the breakfast that is provided. The man who asked the staff in front of me was given 2 cups of coffee, but the staff member refused to give us a cup of coffee because breakfasts didn’t start until 7:30. I wish I could have my “premium upgraded price” back so I can go to the market next door and buy my children snacks and drinks. Absolutely do not feel like a welcomed guest at this hotel. WTG Embassy Suites!
Waking into the hotel didn’t set a good first impression. There was an old musty smell when you should be smelling the scent of a coconut candle or something. There were a lot of plants and a cool waterfall but no pretty colorful flowers. Not really a complaint, just a tip. You can tell by looking at the railings and carpet that the place needs a good cleaning or updating. Then, walking into the room you realize that yes the place needs to be renovated. The walls are an ugly yellow and the furniture is outdated. There was a used bar of soap still in the bathroom so that left an impression that the cleaning service didn’t really do a good job. Lastly, breakfast was terrible but it filled our bellies so we had to be grateful. I’ve stayed in really nice Embassy suite hotels and this is not one of them.
This is a 5 star, beautiful hotel. The pool is lavish. It’s incredibly nice here and the staff is so nice and helpful. Very kind. Best place we have stayed thus far.
