Amazing space. Best entrance i ever seen, near the center, fast wifi, kitchen, amazing price. Suggested.
Nice to Look at, Terrible to Work In. This space is more like a museum than a work space, and is - on a practical level - the worst co-working space I have used. It has frescoed ceilings and expensive art on the wall but no soft furnishings - so its an echo chamber, and impossible to have a phone call without everybody in the office sharing it. People I am trying to speak to also hear the conversations in neighbouring rooms, so its virtually impossible to be heard either.
And then there is the wonderful attitude to customer service that's all too common in the city - i.e. we're happy to have your money but we'll treat you with contempt, relying on the fact that you're giddy with renaissance art, wine and food to really care or complain.
I was shown round a pleasant room where I was told there was a desk for me to use, but then when I signed the contract was re-located to an office in the reception area where there is the constant disturbance of people coming and going (mostly the administrative staff), and door buzzers and intercoms. Apparently this is because the other room has now been designated as a "quiet room". When people come in to the office to meet you you are told to book a meeting room and not speak to them at your desk. My chair was virtually falling apart. Lights have been turned on and off at multiple times of the day even when you're working in the room.
My colleague was told to re-align his desk monitor - for what I can only think were "aesthetic" reasons. Coats or jackets apparently have to be re-located to a special coat rack a way from your desk, and the office manager gave my colleague a lecture for leaving his coat on the back of his chair and a pair of running shoes behind his desk (that were invisible unless you were looking for them). The final straw came when the office manager was unable to provide me with a correct invoice, failed to provide the key that I had paid for, and had no basic understanding of VAT. So, in summary, this is an office that needs a refit, and more competent management.
Just look at the site to understand that this is not just any place!
Exclusive location for an ideal "work space" for those who want to stay in the center easily reachable on foot from the Santa Maria Novella station.
Highly recommended.
Beautiful space to work between Renaissance and new minimalism. Too bad that in the big halls the rumor rumbles and you understand little
