Mearto.com offers Horrible service. Don't even waste your time. I submitted a Chinese Xuande Jar to them for an appraisal. I gave them limited information just to see what information they would give me back.
I was pretty much trying to see what all they know about Chinese antiques.
I sent very vivid photos and they didn't seem to have the ability to illuminate the photos which is very necessary when trying to look at marks and other distinctions to determine authenticity, date and value.
They wrote me back saying that the mark wasn't on the vase and it was CLEARLY around the neck of the vase and after I pointed it out, they told me that it was a different mark than what it was.
I knew at that point that they didn't have a CLUE as to what they were talking about and I was right because They told me that it was a Xuantong reign mark and it's CLEARLY a Xuande mark.
I BLEW UP the photo of the mark around the neck of the vase and sent photos of the mark on the vase as well as photos of a Xuande mark and Xuantong mark from a reputable source and they refused to admit their wrong.
They wrote back saying they already answered my question and they didn't. They just ignored what I told them because they didn't want to admit that they were wrong. If I could post pictures here, I would show you the different marks as well as the mark on my vase and the correspondence that I received.
We went back and forth for a while. They clearly don't know ANYTHING about Chinese Artifacts.
I asked for a refund because I pretty much had to appraise my OWN item. I'm just totally disappointed.
Just think if I didn't know Anything about my piece, I would have passed up a very valuable piece at auction because of THEIR poor expertise.
These people are clearly a joke and not worth dealing with AT ALL. It states that someone named Sara S. did the appraisal.

RUN, Unless you like wasting your money and time.
If they don't issue me a refund, I WILL be disputing this with my bank.
The only thing that I can saw positive is that I got a response in 4 hours but what good was it when they gave me BAD and WRONGFUL information and couldn't even see a mark that was CLEARLY in view.
They stated that the mark was NOT on the bottom of my piece. Duh! How about you take TIME and examine the item AND SEE that it's on the NECK of the vase/jar instead of just pushing out some BS so you can go on to the next customer.
Also, I would have had more respect for them if they just clearly told me that they had no expertise in the area of my piece. This was a big waste of time and you should be VERY careful about trusting these people with your valuable things.
Use companies like Sothebys or Christies.com to get FREE appraisals.

The staff is incredible kind and happy at all times. Nutella bread is always available! I loved working here :-)
A central hub of some of the best entrepreneurs in Denmark. Loved the hygge Atmosphere of working here and still frequently stop back for events and friday bays when I can. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in entrepreneurship in Copenhagen.
