This is like visiting a 1960's Pontins Camp, the rooms are small and pokey and the food served in the restaurant was disgusting and ridiculously overpriced. Visit at your peril...
I have not been here for 24 hours and this is the worst place you would want to book for accommodation. The rooms are small and the beds are uncomfortable and the walls are paper thin that you can hear your neighbour's conversation quite clearly through the them. The bathroom door jams to the point you might lock yourself in if you try to shut it in completely. The bathtub doesn't have a non-slip mat so extreme care must be take that you don't fall inside.
Breakfast was to begin at 7 am and did not start until after 8. The cook "overslept". "Breakfast" which apparently wasn't included in the package included a 6 inch slice of a baguette, one croissant, a glass of juice and tea or coffee. So after such a fulfilling "breakfast" we went back to our rooms to get our bags to leave and guess what, we can't get back into the room. The key pad sensor stopped working which we went back to reception to have the matter rectified. They gave us a replacement key card which still didn't work and waited another 10 minutes before reception could open the door for us. This Campanile Hotel in Colmar was the absolute worst. Don't waste your time or money even if it was the last available hotel in the area.
P.S. This doesn't even deserve 1 star!!!
One man worker in the restaurant did not allow me to top up my water for drinking. Whether I want to drink inside or outside up to me. I pay for hotel and breakfast so up to me. I dont satisfy with the service
Very nice accommodation. Beds were very comfortable more so than other Campanile Hotels which I have visited.
