I cannot express the depth of gratitude for the team that performed my breast biopsy yesterday. I arrived terribly anxious to find a warmed gown and kind faces. My nurse, Brenda, held my hand and stayed at my side the entire time. She not only explained step by step what was happening but calmed my fears. Dr. Portillo met with me first to answer any questions and was amazing during my procedure. Skilled and professional, he ensured I had the best experience possible. Wendy, the technician was wonderful. I am beyond grateful to this team at the Susan Cheek Needler Breast Center. Thank you again!!
I wish I caught the names of all of those that I interacted with. Everyone was super nice and helpful from the front door to the back. I also couldn't believe how quickly the appointment moved. Normally, diagnostic mammograms take forever. Dr. Cline was also great and patient in her explanations of my results. I don't remember who did my mammogram but it was the least painful one I've ever had. Great experience overall.
Hands down the best place to have you Mammograms done. They take such great care and if there is issues with your scans, they don't leave you hanging worrying and wondering. They will do more scans and call your doctor and biopsy lumps if needed. Great staff, very comforting knowing when I go for my scans they always go the extra mile. Not the scan and go like most imaging centers. Love them, I travel more than an hour just to use them. Highly recommend Susan Cheek Needler Breast Center.
The only thing I think you need improvement in is possibly the communication as far as instructions. My very first experience there, I was not asked if I was breastfeeding before I came in for my MRI. So when I got there and I informed the woman I breastfed, I had to reschedule because I didn't know, as I wasn't told I couldn't be breast feeding. So that was frustrating but I got over it. Then my most recent experience I had actually rescheduled because I was there for what I thought was a screening mammogram but then I was told that in the notes from the radiologist, that I was to have a diagnostic mammo..... so I had to reschedule that. Just little things like that that were frustrating. Especially considering I have a 2 year old at home and no family or really no one to watch him so its hard enough finding a sitter for these appointments and to have to keep rescheduling, gets frustrating. Otherwise, it's been a great experience and everyone is always nice.
The lady who did my mammogram was professional and mindful of my comfort. I was totally satisfied with the promptness of my appointment time. Top-notch all the way!
