I worked at this location for a year and would encourage anyone who is looking for a coworking space to check it out! The people are really nice and it is interesting to hear about other people’s remote or freelancing jobs. The membership is really affordable compared to other coworking spaces.
Miguel has been implementing some great updates in the space! Both he and the rest of the folks working there are always so generous, friendly and helpful. Happy hour neighborhood outings are planned that bring the community together.
I have been using coLab Evanston for around 4 years now and I would personally recommend it to anyone who runs a small business and needs a dedicated desk or a conference room to meet up with clients or for brainstorming activities. This place is great and provides everything you need to work. Miguel is a great guy and super easy to communicate with. I would highly recommend this place!
I've been working from coLab for over two years, and it's been an amazing experience. I've made friends, good contacts for collaborating with my own business, and will miss it when I leave in a month or two.
The space is great! And in a really cool area of Evanston. For a co-working space, it's great to be so close to the train, a Subway, a Starbucks and an even better coffeeshop if you want Stumptown coffee from Portland.
Definitely worth it to be a member. And my experience got even better when I paid for a reserved desk, and didn't have to schlep my stuff back and forth from home all the time. Check it out!
I've been working at coLab South (Main and Chicago) since 2013 and highly recommend it. This office is near the Metra, the el and plenty of coffee shops and restaurants; also, paid and free parking options are plentiful. The owner, Miguel, is constantly upgrading and improving coLab, and the space is welcoming and large. You can choose to work at a desk or a shared long table, and there's plenty of room for you to work comfortably with a laptop, a meal and your files/personal items. There's wifi, a printer, two conference rooms, two kitchens with coffee and two sets of restrooms. Plus, you get to work alongside other freelancers or small business owners, so there's an opportunity for friendly conversation and networking. You can also catch up with other members at one of the regular happy hours that Miguel hosts. Come and try it out for free for a day; I bet you'll love it!
