nothing much after COVID
Small night market that expands to both sides of the main road. The roads get busy and the people are excited for food and social hour. Drinks are on tap and toktoks are ready to take you for a night out on the town. Excellent experience and I’m looking forward to it again.
Until The travellers return this is a boring market.
Vendors spend their time looking at cell phone screens ignoring customers.
There are lots of things to buy and the price is cheaper than I expected. I love Chiang Mai. The people are so nice too.
Wide variety of stalls and food vendors spread over a long, busy walking street. Once you move past the first section things start to get a little less congested, but it definitely isn't a relaxing shopping experience. I tend to prefer established markets because you can move at an easier pace. I'm sure I saw only half of what was there due to just flowing with the crowd. We did buy some items and prices were very reasonable. The live music was fun, everything from Thai covers of western hits to traditional Lanna music. The snacks we had were all delicious.
