Reviews from visitors:
We found the rooms more than adequate, particularly for a ski resort. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating.
The pool and the jacuzzi were most welcome.
The two restaurants provided a great variety of food and both to a very high standard.
A perfect location for a family, a couple or a group of friends.
Highly recommend. Extremely friendly, cheerful, helpful and welcoming family run hotel. Very clean, very comfortable, great food, super rooms, pool, sauna, jacuzzi fab.
Very good top end French restaurant a bit pricey
Well... I really did like the rooms here- suitable sized bed and the breakfast selection was great, especially drinks and fruit.
However a few things that really frustrated me...
Firstly the open shower/ wet room. When having a shower, however careful you may be, the water just floods over the lip down onto the rest of the bathroom floor. A really poor design! Which means using a few towels that become soaking wet and stressing about the whole place flooding. It isn't really ideal during every shower time.
Going to the spa & pool area early meant none of the steam or sauna rooms were turned on, which was a real let down and something the staff seem to keep forgetting about.
The set menu they offer I found quite poor as if you don't eat a certain meat or have a dietary requirement it seems you're out of luck.
Lastly, I never understood why before breakfast ended the staff would go round changing all the tables to the lunch setting. So when you came down at a certain time there was nowhere to sit and they had to change the table back over OR they dumped you where they saw fit so you couldn't even sit by the window and enjoy the views! They changed every table and then 4 more couples came down and they had to take everything off the tables they chose to do so. One couple was told they can't sit by the window because it's changed now.
This baffled me so much EVERY MORNING that I went to the front desk and spoke to an older lady about it. As my French is not perfect I asked for someone to interpret as who knows what I was saying...
I was met by a shrug! And ' it has to be changed for lunch'. I tried to explain that if breakfast doesn't finish until 945 why at 920 are all the tables being changed ? It just makes no logistical sense.
I was bluntly told at 12 the lunch starts and it's busy.
So you can figure that one out because I can't.
A mixed bag really- this is the sort of place you'll end up staying at as it's one of the nicest places in the area and if you don't mind paying more than average you'll be more comfortable.
Most of the staff seem unbothered and don't talk to you... but I am not easily offended so it's personal preference. Probably because I'm English and what country does like us? Hey ho.
Some good, some bad... but sleeping to the sound of little waterfalls outside the balcony isn't all a bad getaway.
The restaurant is of high quality, with very fine Savoie specialities. Staff is welcoming clients, in this warm and cozy space...
I really strongly recommend this restaurant.
