Perfect stay, as expected and better....
Upon arrival, we had the most wonderful welcome from Claudia (not the villa's namesake!) who showed us our suite and provided us with a map of Cannes and highlighted the different attractions including restaurants and cafes. The suite is light, spacious and airy and also has the benefit of air conditioning. This room has a large balcony with table and chairs to enjoy the outdoors. It was good to have a courtesy tray and an expresso machine. The bathroom is functional with a bath and shower over. It would have been preferable to have a glass enclosure rather than curtains but that is just personal preference. Christophe was always available to welcome us to breakfast in the morning and bid us good night after an evening in Cannes. A most charming host who went out of his way to make us feel special. We enjoyed a tasty continental breakfast each morning in the small breakfast room which is adorned with beautiful black and white photos of Claudia Cardinale. The hotel is a six minute walk from the railway station and a similar walk or less to a wealth of restaurants. The beaches are a few minutes further. We travelled to Cannes by car but the villa has an ample car park for those travelling by car. We loved our time at Villa Claudia.
