Loved Maker's Asylum's brand new addition, the Drill Press Cafe with its *literal* drill-pressed coffee concoctions, hot and cold brews alike! Super quirky, intimate setup within the expansive maker space in a 100 year old Portuguese villa where you can watch the goings-on across their woodworking, metal work, 3D printing, electronics labs, hit the lounge seats in the villa's terrace or in their terrific open backyard while sipping your coffee and some inspiration to boot. Looking forward to heading back there and a sweet little menu I hear is in the works!
The Drill Press Cafe is incredible! It’s located in the heart of Maker’s Asylum- a creative co-working workspace like no other. What’s more - you get to have coffee (and more), freshly made, in a custom drill press! Where else do you get an experience like this?! Come for the coffee with creatives, and stay for the creative space! If I was a freelancer, I’d never leave this place! Highly recommend it!
An actual power drill makes your coffee here - which isn't surprising, as this cafe is rooted in the excellent makerspace Maker's Asylum.
Artists and creators should find themselves right at home here, surrounded by a large open space, neat installations, wood/metal/laser labs and more. And of course, the drill-pressed coffee is delicious!
The cafe is just what the name says. Drill Press. This cute little cafe in a maker space. Enjoy some good food and coffee made from a drill machin while you explore the maker space and your creativity !
I love the coffee... And it's an interesting place to be with amazing people around!!
