Great place for organics . Awesome frozen choc bananas . Try the chips (pods) Australian product, sweet chilli. Nice dips aswell . Big range of products. Although the majority of the staff there are a bit , well how do i say it , strange ? Not very welcoming. Maybe they think if they smile they'll get a wrinkle ?? . A bit shall i say stuck up ?.
I walked into Cherries the other day. 2 staff members were talking to each other. I was the only person in the store. Didn't even look at me or come and ask "how can I help"? I was in there for more than 5 minutes! What happened to customer service? Not going there again.
Friendly staff, convenient location, not as big a store as Healthy Hub in Cairns North but still a good range of organic products.
I visited this store last Thursday & the customer-service was appalling!!
The two staff-members attending the registers seemed to be of the opinion that they were actually doing me a big favour by accepting payment for the three items I was holding in my hands I stood in line while one customer spent 5-6 minutes filling out a loyalty card form (and was still there when I eventually was attended to) & the other staff member conducted a conversation with the customer about the pros & cons of plastic bags.
Both staff-members made eye-contact with me that said, they couldn't have given a hoot about me! The attitude from the staff-member who eventually put the sale through was brusque & condescending.
One would wonder why either of those staff-members bothered to work in the retail-sector as they obviously do not enjoy it or have the skills for it!
This is a great little shop to have in such a central location. There’s a loyalty program, which can lead to significant savings on certain days, etc. Make sure you price check what you’re buying at GoVita Cherries. I’ve made the mistake of paying 25% more for supplements that are much less expensive elsewhere (for the exact same brand/product!). Calanna WholeHealth in Earlville has much better prices. As always, bring your own bag. :)
