Reviews from visitors:
I was at a concert event, and the organization was like there hadn't been any. After the concert was over, we tried buying drinks three times. The first two times we were informed that they closed right at the moment we got to the bar, but at some other bars you can still order. Needless to say that by the time we got to the next one, that was already closed. And this all happened inside an approx. 20 minute time window after the concert was over. At the second time we stood through a long "line" (or more like a crowd pushing each other) only to find in the end that they are just closing. They should at least have told this earlier.
There are much smaller venues in this city that are way more professional in events, this arena could really learn from them. Other than this, there were other details where I had this same feeling that whoever is managing the staff and services, should really not pursue a career in event management, since they have no idea what they are doing. One can see the great business opportunities given that in the area where thousands of people attended an event there are no pubs, restaurants or anything. They could make a lot of money with the very cheap and low quality products they offer for a very high price. Seemingly they are only interested in cashing in the rental fee from the events and then want to go home.
All in all, I tried to enjoy a very great show, and even though it was excellent, it was hard to not let the venue itself ruin my evening.
I understand that this is the biggest indoor venue in Budapest, but the Arena is never really prepared for a bigger event. The let-in process is slow usually, the buffet is slow and has only 2 beer stands - imagine this during a concert! - per buffet, it's card-only which makes the process slower and have a small variety. And the acoustic... It's awful. Never been to a concert that sounded at least okay. And there are no places to sit if you bought standing tickets, not even in the smoking area. This should be fixed.
I came over from the UK to see the Hans Zimmer Concert in February.Lovely arena. The only problem was they only take a mastercard to purchase drinks etc.Of course i didn't have one and had to go the whole time without a snack or drink
Took an age to get in and out. Only accepts card which as a tourist with cash was not so good. Decent venue with quick bars. Cloak room was useful but took about 45 mins after the gig
Complete disaster. Leaving a coat in a wardrobe costs money, moreover they only accept cash. I didn't know about that and spent quite a bit of time to find an atm. This is extremely inconvenient and can lead to missing some great songs in the setlist. This is not acceptable in any way for an international arena.
