Reviews from visitors:
Update: So today I received an email stating I got mail. I have always emailed to ask whom it may be from when working from home or another office, because if it's not important I don't want to travel to the office. I get an email back stating that there is an admin fee of $9 for him to tell me who sent me mail... Very very tacky. Not everything needs to have a price tag or cost. So changing the rating from 3 stars to 1.
=====================Original Review============
There are two good things about spaces. I have been in three other work spaces, so I can definitely compare.
The space is very clean and the staff is super friendly and great.
However- it's not the way you would see the co-working spaces.
You have to pay for printing.
My Voip would not work. It worked in We Work, Industrious and Greendesk- so I know it's spaces. I think it's their way of having you use their phones.
Coffee- Honestly, how hard is it for you to offer coffee for free. They have a machine for you to pay a dollar for coffee. Like ink is more expensive. Well- you have to pay for that also.
My biggest issue is the invoicing. I am use to paying my rent on the 1st of the month. However, they send you the invoice say the 8th-10th of the current month, to be due 10 days later. I mean it's not even the 1st. I wanted to sublease or cancel my lease because my Grandfather was dying. They said no. I knew we'd be working a bit less and din't want to hit financial issues. I paid this months rent on the 3rd and got a late fee and email saying my service will be suspended. The fudge. Most companies give you a 3-5 day grace period. I signed a 2 year lease (huge regrets, thought I'd be here for year). This is not a co-working space that supports small businesses.
Honestly- My advice to anyone looking- keep looking for another space that in more inclusive. Look for a space that understand monthly billing.
Offering coffee is not the end of the world.
Pretty cool workspace with modern decor designed for the entrepreneur in mind. I heard that it was a bank many years ago and Spaces Fort Greene kept the vault as part of their decor which is cool.
They have the first and second floors for their business. On the second floor, there are several small offices with doors that provide privacy if needed. There is also an open space with seatings with a large window that brings in natural lighting and all of that good ole vitamin D.
Let me tell you about the rooftop which is awesome. They have a rooftop lounge area with a small seating area but the view is amazing. It's a pretty good idea to be able to de-stress by just relaxing here without a care in the world. I definitely would love to spend a few hours to regenerate myself. The place is pretty large so they should implement more seating to accommodate the space.
Beautiful space and friendly staff
