Reviews from visitors:
This place has an awesome vibe and atmosphere. You will most definitely meet cool people here whether they're staff or people staying in the hotel but either way you're in for a great time. Prices are great, and so is the location. The rooms were clean and spacious and comfy, I ended up extending my stay for a week. I would only recommend the hotel management to think about adding small TVs and kettles/microwaves to the rooms as they are very useful for long stays.
Great location on the seafront. Arrived a few hours early and the lovely reception lady let us check in immediately which was really appreciated.
Unfortunately the room was not clean. There was two empty bottles and a used tissue on the desk in the room. The bed had multiple crumbs and hairs in it. This is unacceptable at the best of times, however it is absolutely atrocious given the COVID times we are in. I'm not sure how crumbs made it onto the sheets - unless of course they were not changed? We did try to alert the receptionist on the way out but after a few minutes of waiting at an empty reception we decided to leave it as we were running late for our food reservation.
Furthermore, the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything going on in the hallway and in other rooms, it doesn't make for a good nights rest.
Lastly, the bathroom does not have hand soap. Absolutely ridiculous in the middle of a pandemic.
The staff were so friendly but we would not return given the lack of cleanliness in the bedroom.
Fabulous stay at The Selina, got a Seaview room and it was marvellous to see the sea from our bed. Quirky interior and very friendly staff. Great to have toiletries included. Only down side is more attention needed to dusting especially in the corners of the room, double glazing would be ideal to drown out the traffic noise but sea view really makes up for it. Decent cocktails in the hotel bar, again great view of sea and sunset Would definitely return
Nice staff and great service in the bar and resturant area, the breakfast and coffee was amazing. We only got our towels changed once out of the 3 nights. No hand shop in the room either. Somebody above our room was banging around and playing really loud music for hours.
Quirky hostel chain which we have used before in Colombia. Staff went out way to give us a free drink when they found out it was my partner's birthday. Very easy going and friendly people and right on the front, walking distance to everything! Would definitely recommend!!
