Good experience, the place is so natural I loved it.
I live in Bogota and stayed at Botanico for a week as a “stay-cation” during the pandemic and can highly recommend this as an ideal option for people looking to be based in La Candelaria. Opening the doors feels like you’ve stumbled upon a hidden gem thanks to its bohemian style, large outdoor spaces that include a massive garden and rooftop, and staff that makes you feel right at home. The rooftop has one of the best views in La Candelaria and it’s where you’ll have breakfast in the morning and probably a cocktail for sunset in the evening. It was also nice having unlimited coffee as I was there working from my laptop during the day. On the weekends they sometimes have small social gatherings or a private acoustic concert so it was nice to experience a little bit of “social life” again in a safe open-air environment. Definitely would stay again!
The best hostel I have ever stayed in! The atmosphere is great and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I was able to leave my luggage here for 2 weeks. When I was on my way from Salento to Bogota, I threatened to miss my flight due to bad weather. I no longer had time to go to the hostel and pick up my luggage. The hostel was so great to send my luggage by taxi to the airport and ensure that I didn't miss my flight. Furthermore, the view from the roof (where breakfast is) is also beautiful and beds are so soft! The open fire in the evening ensures that you will not get cold. The bar is nice where you can have a drink until 11pm. Thank you for the help and my wonderful stay!
