Very nice museum.
Great insight to prisoner daily life, escapes, ect.
Interactive part of the tour taken down due to covid-19.
Took the guided tour, and it was great, very recommended to hear the stories and history of the prison, through its 153 years of existence. The museum is one of a kind, in terms of freedom of walking around and seeing the most of the whole prison. It also has some interactive posts, which are interestingly narrated by a former inmate.
The prison was so interesting but the guide was not very good.. Walk through yourselves and read the signs.
They have a prison themed hotel which is pretty interesting for an experience
A different museum, but interesting to learn more about how an old prison is a part of the community. Stories about the staff and prisoners are available throughout the walk in the museum, and this is not a stereotype exhibition.
