We booked and paid for bed breakfast and evening dinner and was told to book dinner when we got to hotel. There was no availability although we had paid and the manager offered us a free drink but didn't really seem bothered. We had to drive around and find somewhere to eat that wasn't booked up in these difficult times so didn't get the relaxed evening we had planned. They refunded the money for the dinner but obviously that was 2 days later!! It was just as well we had some money. The staff were very good shame your management team let you down!
This hotel is in a great location if you want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the main promenade, it's next door to blackpool zoo which was great for us with a young family, the facilities are brilliant with a lovely swimming pool and a Starbucks on site, the breakfast was good but nothing to rave about, as for the rooms they were tired and a little beat up and require some TLC to bring them back up to standard, we got a cheap deal on our stay so I was happy to stay here for the price we paid but I wouldn't be very pleased paying full price for this hotel, not until they give the rooms some love and a little clean up such as new carpets, a repaint and maybe new lighting as the rooms are quite dark, but overall this is a good hotel if you get the right price and i would stay here again when visiting blackpool.
**CAUTION!**
The village hotel Blackpool has an appalling state of hygiene.
As you you can see from the pictures, there is vomit by the lift area (still there 12 hours later)
Rooms show no sign of being vacuum cleaned in months!
Very alarming with the current threat of Covid 19!
Their pledge on their website "Meeting the highest standards of cleanliness" could not be further from the truth.
Furthermore they do not even reply to complaints.
Love this place always stay here been 3 times this year. Good price excellent rooms. There is a golf course and driving range swimming pool and outdoor heated pool
Helpful staff, very young, could not control amount of people in and out of the building. Hardly anyone wearing masks and using sanitizer. Not a safe place to be. We paid for a club room with a view. Good if you like bins, couldn't get to use the pool to many people using and they prioritize people who pay for it. Dont bother with breakfast not made fresh to order. No wonder Blackpool one of the worst places to be....
